Merry Christmas from my family to yours! | Flower Mound, TX Portrait Photographer

I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

For our card this year we were able to have family portraits taken, thanks to my sweet friend Mandy Blankenship of Atoy Photography.  I also included one of my own captures of my two beautiful daughters.  Many people think it must be easy for a photographer to capture awesome photos of your own children, they actually are the most challenging subjects.  I guess they are so used to seeing mom with the camera they get tired of smiling.  Well, I love to capture the moment anyway so here is a sweet moment of my two daughters.  They have a close relationship and I pray that they will continue to be close throughout their lives.

I love animals so of course I was up for the I Heart Faces "Pet" theme challenge this week.  My sweet yellow lab mix, Brodie is the most loving and gentle dog I've ever owned.  He gets abused by my girls and takes it like a charm.  He just celebrated his 7th birthday on December 9th. You can't resist his sweet face!

Red Headed Cutie | DFW, TX Child Photographer

Check out this adorable red head!  He belongs to my best friend and is 1 of 2 red heads in her household.  W is #3 of 4 children and recenly celebrated his 3rd birthday in November.  I took his birthday portaits last month and hadn't had a chance to share them with the world. Happy belated birthday sweetie!

It's so wonderful to visit it family and especially to have the opportunity to take their portraits!  This is my 3rd cousin and her son W. (my little cousin), a new baby cousin is due to arrive any day now as well.  We can't wait to meet and welcome baby E. to the family!  These were taken downtown Grapevine, TX, it's a fun location with trains and an old downtown.

Sneak Peek, Introducing my nephew! | Texas Newborn Photogrpher

T is here! He was born on October 28th weighing 8 lbs. 8 oz., 20 1/2 inches. He had a bit of a rough first few days of life but is the strongest newborn I've ever seen. He can already lift his head, roll to his side, almost all the way over, and has a strong kick and grasp. Due to hospital stay and distance I wasn't able to take his portraits any sooner. So here he is at 4 weeks, very alert and wouldn't sleep a wink. He wanted to watch his aunt take his pictures.  It was just a few months ago that I took my sister's maternity portraits, click here to see them.  Now they make a beautiful family of 3!
