My edits:

Cropped, I made a color balance adjustment to remove some red and add a tiny bit of yellow, followed by a levels adjustment, and burned the edges to help pop the subject.

Black and white conversion

After cropping, I made a color balance adjustment to remove some of the red, then levels adjustment, and applied "Lemon Drops, perfect b/w" action.

Vanilla Pop

Again after crop followed by a color balance adjustment to remove red, levels adjustment, and then applied "Bees Knees, vanilla pop" action.

Texture

Used the original color edit, ran MCP's texture applicator and found a texture to apply.

As a mom you crave good photographs of your own children and as a photographer I seem to be more successful with other people's children. I took my girls out to our backyard in two separate attempts to get these pictures. The first evening my older one was more cooperative and the 2nd night I finally captured some decent shots of my younger duaghter.

I just love these curls! You would have never known what her hair would look like at 3, she was born with dark brown straight hair!

I tried some post processing different from my usual editing.

Color


I made adjustments in levels, curves, removed some of the baby red with an action called "baby skin", and added a warming filter

Black and White


Added an "airy b/w" conversion to adjustments from the color version.

Spritzer


Added Michelle Black's action called "Spritzer".
