Theme: Where I Live

I am proud to live in a town just outside the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.  While our neighborhood is a typical suburb, we do have beautiful parks, trails, and lakes nearby.  This weeks prompt we are supposed to find the beauty in where we live.  While I often photograph the parks, trails, and lake scenes I thought I should focus on my neighborhood.  To me it's watching the children play together.  Since it's warmed up the kids are playing outdoors more.  Either our backyard swings chalk drawing on the driveway.

For me, I find inspiration in the beauty of nature.  I look for color, shapes, and patterns.

Texas Wildflowers are a must see for every Texas resident.  They blanket the highways for miles, some are spread by businesses, towns, and cities to enjoy as well.

Theme: Motion

For this prompt, we had a choice of techniques which included Slow Shutter, Panning, Intentional Camera Movement, and Zoom Burst.

I used Intentional Camera Movement on this image with an up and down motion on a group of trees.

 I used Panning on this shot.
