Exchanging Vows | DFW, TX family photographer

This past weekend, we got to witness new found love and commitment of my husband's grandmother and her new husband.  These two have known each other for 19 years, lived across the street from each other.  Sharing meals, support, and life.  Irene, has been a widow for 34 years.  My husband was only 5 or 6 years old when his grandfather passed away.  She never intended to remarry but when Al's wife passed away last year, she was there to support him through the grieving process and to get him out of the house.  They started going to Bible study, enjoyed meals together, and just spending time with each other.  Their friendship blossomed into love and they decided they wanted to spend the rest of their years together.  We couldn't be happier for them!

This wedding was quite unique especially their vows.  They each shared their story of how they fell in love with each other including honoring their former spouses.

What beautiful pictures! This is what photography is all about - being able to really show a special an occasion or memory is. Love all of the detail shots too!
