Clickin Walk 2019 | Flower Mound, TX Photographer

Clickin Moms Walk Dallas 2019

This was my 2nd year to participate in the Dallas Clickin Moms Photo Walk.  This year we met in the  Bishop Arts District in the Oak Cliff area.  It was my first time in this area, I had no idea there were so many photo ops here.  It's an up and coming hip area with cute shops and eateries with more coming in with new buildings mixed with old.

Beach Family Time 3 | Flower Mound, TX Photographer

We checked out Pleasure Pier the night of our beach day.  This is a very clean and safe amusement park located along the seawall in Galveston Island, TX.  Just like most amusement parks be ready to spend a bit for the experience.  They were very good with safety checks and keeping gates locked.  Our youngest was able to ride 4 or 5 rides with an adult on some.  Our oldest was just a couple inches shy of riding all the rides.

This is the first time I've seen a double deck carousel.

I always loved this ride growing up.  I had a turn later in the night, daughter #2 wasn't tall enough to ride.

Check out those two serious drivers!

On our anniversary, we rode the Ferry to Bolivar Island.  I have fond memories of riding the ferry as a child.  I remember going to the beach from the ferry so my parents may have taken us to Crystal Beach.

I love Lighthouses, this one is private so there is no public access to visit.

Bolivar Island has an interesting history, we visited Fort Travis Park.

Crystal Beach, there were some beautiful beach homes right off the beach and vehicles were allowed to drive directly on the beach.

We spotted dolphins on our ride back on the ferry to Galveston Island.

Sunset on the water | Flower Mound, TX photographer

Since a child with my first camera I fell in love with photography and wished I had started taking classes sooner.  My first images were taken on an RV trip to the Grand Canyon with my family.  Maybe one day I'll scan some of those prints so I'll have digital copies.  My dad has always enjoyed landscape photography especially black and white.  I remember him carefully cleaning his lenses and putting them into a hard camera case.  One day we drove around and just snapped photos hanging out the car window.  While I love portraiture I often times get so caught up in capturing people that my love for landscape photography falls behind.  Here is an image that I took while taking my daughter's 5 year portraits.  I loved how the light hit the pond and everything was so calm with nature.
