Skating Party | Flower Mound, TX child photographer

My daughter turned 7 last week and we had a roller skating party.  It brought a lot of memories of my childhood and enjoying the roller skating rink.  Of course in my day they didn't have these cool trainers and we just to learn to skate without support.  She got it down quickly and was speeding around the rink.

Here are the cupcakes I made for her special day.

 Chocolate
Cake before fondont, this apparently was a retired Wilton cake pan I found on Ebay.  You can change it up to design classic roller skates, roller blades, or an ice-skate.  I'm sure we will use it again for at least an ice-skating party in the future.
After the fondont and decorations.
She was very thirsty after all the roller skating.

Fairy Garden Party | Flower Mound, TX Child Photographer

When I asked my daughter about having a "Garden" themed party this year she objected and requested a princess party.  We used the princess theme last year so we came up with a compromise of a "Fairy Garden" party instead.  Once this was determined I was off gathering ideas from my favorite sites.  One of my favorite sites is Birthday Party Ideas.  This was always my go to site before Pinterest.  Here is my Pinterest board for a Fairy Garden Party.

I designed the invitation using graphics from My Grafico.

Flower Cupcakes

Flower Garden Cake, Fairy was added at the party.  This was a bit of a messy job as I quickly ran out of time.

Dirt Cupcakes, made with chocolate cupcake, chocolate buttercream icing, Oreo Crumbs, and candy worm.  The cupcake wrapper is from The Posh Event.
My Little Fairy, she choose a Unicorn Face Paint from Face Painting 4 Fun.

Big sister choose a purple & pink bow.
Pixie Juice AKA Lemonade

 Planting Seeds

Fairy Wands, we also had bugs on a log not pictured, and I planned on making these adorable Fairy Toad Stools but ran out of time.

More face painting from Face Painting 4 Fun.

The cake didn't travel well to the party and the top got a bit damaged.

Daddy had to help with the Pinata after several rounds of hitting from all the party goers didn't make a dent.
