This weeks theme for I Heart Faces Photo Challenge is "Hugs and Kisses".  I felt that this image was appropriate.  My daughter's love each other so much, it's so tender and sweet!  On this particular day I was trying soft lighting, while it's not perfect I felt that the mood and connection was strong.

This weeks photo challenge by I Heart Faces is "By the Book".  This image immediately came to my mind.  I was in the middle of taking my daughter's 2 year portraits last March and she ran off for a few minutes and brought back this Olivia book.  I thought it was so cute and neat that she wanted to include something she loves to do.  Making portraits personal is important to me as a photographer.  You don't want to forget your loved ones interests.

I love animals so of course I was up for the I Heart Faces "Pet" theme challenge this week.  My sweet yellow lab mix, Brodie is the most loving and gentle dog I've ever owned.  He gets abused by my girls and takes it like a charm.  He just celebrated his 7th birthday on December 9th. You can't resist his sweet face!

This weeks Photo Challenge for I Heart Faces is "In the Orchard". I recently discovered we actually have an apple orchard within 30 miles from our home. A local playgroup that we are members of set-up a field trip to visit Henrietta Creek Orchard in Roanoak, TX. I attempted a photoshoot with my daughters over the weekend with a failed attempt, they both were more interested in playing with props instead.  Nor would they sit where I wanted them and they insisted on sitting right up against the backdrop, LOL.  This week's I Heart Faces Photo Challenge is "Smirk", I found this photo to fit into that description well.
