Becoming a mother is an incredible experience in life.  Even as a young child I can remember day dreaming about being a mom one day.  My sister and best friend growing up would play a game with the Sears catalog and pick out our family from the models in the 1000 page book.  I imagined motherhood would begin for me in my 20's like my own parents.  However with life's twists and turns, I didn't become a mom until my early 30's.  In our world today it's common for women to delay motherhood for a later time in life.

A child's babyhood is such a short time in their life that it feels like if you blink you'll miss it.  When E's mom contacted me she stressed she wanted to capture her baby girl before it was too late.  Miss. E. will be turning 2 in just a couple months.

These images are considered "lifestyle" portraits, which by definition according to Wikipedia is "a style of portrait/people photography which aims to capture and document real-life events, situations, or milestones in an artistic manner."
